The Orion Cinema is a proud recipient of an Award from the Culture Recovery Fund for Independent Cinemas in England.

The BFI is administering this Fund on behalf of the DCMS and has also worked with the screen sector during the pandemic to support the interventions launched by Government including the health and safety guidance for cinemas to be able to reopen.

Our industry has welcomed the Government’s support for the sector and its recognition of the huge challenges faced by cinemas as part of the arts and cultural community in re-opening with social distancing measures and capacity limitations.

This unprecedented level of public investment has also reinforced the importance of cinemas in public life in villages, towns and cities across the country.
